For most athletes in any sport, your rookie season is about getting adjusted and showing you belong. For Ty Teasdale, it was about winning it all.
Riding for the Am-Pro Yamaha Factory race team, Teasdale and his teammate, Mitch Hawkins, brought home the 2021 Grand National Cross Country eMTB AmPro championship, giving Yamaha its first-ever national level title in the e-mountain bike category!
Teasdale, a member of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians from the Snowbird Community in Western North Carolina, took home both the GNCC title and Amateur Rider of the Year honors in his first year racing on his Yamaha YDX Moro Pro. Amazingly, it was his second championship in as many years, as he captured the Men’s Single Crown Open title in the 2020 Downhill Southeast Series. Truly remarkable stuff.
Congratulations on all your success, Ty. We can’t wait to see what you accomplish next!
